Update: According to BBC, Morar is facing a possible sentence of 15 years in prison. She seems to have been freed for the time being from house arrest.
Update: Calling Morar a Twitterer may not be precisely accurate, though she is a blogger (see below). Does anyone know if she does have a Twitter account herself?

Moldovan protesters used Twitter. That much is certain, though to what end is now being debated. Any earlier report indicated that these protesters might be arrested for fomenting violence, as there was some rioting at the protests, though some have claimed it was occasioned not by the protesters but by Moldovan security forces.
Now it seems that, according to Ekklesia, one of the organizers, blogger and journalist Natalia Morar, has been placed under house arrest.
Morar’s lawyer, Natalia Molosag, told Radio Free Europe on 16 April that her client could be charged with ‚Äúinciting mass disorder” for her role in the demonstration, during which the parliamentary building and the offices of the president were ransacked and nearly 200 protestors were arrested.
Activists deny the authorities’ allegation that the violence was the result of social networking. They say it arose when people were already outside the parliament building and that the police used violence too.
