We want an update of this idea around reading banned books. You're design could help promote endangered blogs everywhere.

We want an update of this idea around reading banned books. You're design could help promote endangered blogs everywhere.

Remember those old retro puffy-font T-Shirts and bumper stickers that all shouted “I read banned books” that people would sport around?

Your more liberal minded PTA mom would have one of these pins on her handbag, or some guy would have it mixed in with the plethora of other competing bumper stickers on the back of his rusting Volvo.

We want to update this concept for the webbed world, and we’re looking for some help doing it.

irbbCome up with a design concept around the phrase “I read banned blogs.” Create some graphics that we can use as website link badges. Upload them to our Flickr Group and we’ll run a poll around the entries we get. We want all of them to be available for people to use, mix and mashup, but will take the one that people vote and create a plethora of items to promote the reading of and linking to endangered blogs.

All entries will be considered submitted under the terms of a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial 3.0 Unported license for the general public, and under an Attribution 3.0 Unported license for the Committee. Everyone who submits content will retain complete rights to continue using it as they wish.

We’ll slap the designs that the crowd like best on banners, T-shirts, coffee mugs, stickers and anything else we can think of. We’ll put the videos you make everywhere that will show them and you’ll be an over-night blog-defending rock star!

You can create as much content as you like for your campaign, Our group accepts images and video. Create graphics or use photos, use screenshots or screencasts. Submit illustrations, art, animations, or anything else this inspires you to create.

If web banners are your thing, here are some standard sizes.
